May 2nd, 2008:
Expectations continue to be high as we are approaching the end of the
school year. Here is a list of what we will be covering in May:
English

Spelling / vocabulary / literary terms / writing
complete sentences / punctuation.

RESEARCH PAPER is due Monday, May 5th.
Literature
-
We will continue reading and analyzing The Ear,
The Eye and The Arm.

Complete sentences, appropriate capitalization, and
appropriate punctuation is required.
Social
Studies
We are
wrapping up our ANCIENT ISRAEL unit, and will begin ANCIENT GREECE.
Religion
We are
starting our last unit in Religion. We will discuss how the
Israelites turned away from God and discovered that God was with them,
and always ready to welcome them back. We will look at how we too can
do God’s will.
Science
The 6th
grade students will continue learning about plants when they return
from camp. They will finish up the school year with the study of
cells and cell processes.
