Prayer is the raising of one’s mind and heart to God or the requesting of good things from GodSt. John Damascene, CCC 2559

God invites us into a relationship with Him that is both personal and communal. He speaks to us through His Son, Jesus Christ, the Word-made-flesh.

Prayer is a Response to God

Prayer is our response to God who is revealing Himself to us. Therefore, prayer is not merely an exchange of words, but it engages the whole person in a relationship with God the Father, through the Son, and in the Holy Spirit.

How do I pray?

Various forms of prayer are presented in the Catechism of the Catholic Church. These various forms include prayer of blessing or adoration, prayer of petition, prayer of intercession, prayer of thanksgiving, and prayer of praise.

Men’s Prayer

Numerous groups meet regularly in our parish and practice a diverse range of prayer styles including a Men’s Prayer  group.  Men’s Prayer is for men of all ages who want to deepen their relationship with God within the contect of family life, work and our faith community.
