Dear Friends,
At this time we’d like to also take a moment to express our thanks to Francie Jordan for taking time away from her busy “retired life” and adoring grand-children, to serve as Parish Administrator at Saint Rita of Cascia Cathoic Church for this past year. We’d also like to thank Stan Jordan, her husband, for sharing his lovely wife with us. As you know, lots of the work we do as church involves evenings and weekends, so Stan, we thank you for your generous support of Francie as she worked for her beloved parish.
When we began this lay leadership model a year ago, I knew he was going to need some “boots on the ground” assistance, and based on my experience at Saint Patrick, knew that Francie Jordan was the perfect person for that job. She knows the community of St. Rita’s— after all her family helped establish the parish— she knows how to organize a staff, manage volunteers, and to keep things moving along. She’s been a tremendous asset for the parish this past year, helping us through a time of transition.
Now that Fr David has been appointed pastor for three parishes— Saint Rita of Cascia Catholic Church, Saint Patrick Catholic Church & School and Holy Cross Catholic Church, Francie will be returing to retirement, but not going anywhere. Fortunately for us, Francie intends to continue volunteering at St. Rita and working with the Pastoral Council and Fr David to help us continue our way through this new arrangement.
Thanks again Francie for your dedication and devotion to the parish of St. Rita of Cascia. We’re a better place and stronger community because of you.
Sincerely,
Kevin Lovejoy
Parish Administrator
