Saint Patrick Catholic Church is transitioning to a new model of pastoral leadership– one that has been very successful in other parishes throughout the archdiocese.

Questions from such as: How long will we be under the new pastoral model? Who is planning the transition? These are just a few of the questions being asked and answered!

Saint Patrick Catholic Church’s is undergoing a transition. We recently learned that the Sacramental needs will be handled by the Jesuit community in Tacoma . With this knowledge the thoughtful steps are being taken to ensure a smooth transition.

Most of you have heard the letter from our archbishop which was read at all Masses on the weekend of May 16 and 17, and you may have some questions about its meaning. We would like to try to explain what it means.

The staff at Saint Patrick Catholic Church continue to prepare for transition—as Father Seamus retires and a new Sacramental Priest is welcomed.

We had hoped to share a letter from Archbishop Sartain regarding Father Seamus’ replacement. Unfortunately, that announcement has been delayed. We hope to read Archbishop Sartain’s letter the weekend of May 16 – 17, 2015.

Recently, members of our parish staff and other parish organizational leaders met to discuss plans for Father Seamus’ upcoming retirement. We all agreed that a priority for our parish during this time is to clearly and effectively communicate to our parishioners what is happening. As with any change, there are some facts we know for certain, and others we won’t know for a while.
