It is Election Time— Pastoral Council Elections

Dear Friends,

Elections for Pastoral Council are coming up soon.

The week of May 20 – 21, 2017, we will be conducting our Pastoral Council elections. This year we are seeking candidates to fill vacancies. If you, or someone you know would be a strong candidate for our Pastoral Council, let us know.  Send us an email or call 253-383-2783.

Last year we were blessed to have 14 candidates for the 5 positions that were open. We hope to generate a similar number of candidates this year.

Saint Patrick Church and School has a long tradition of relying upon its lay leadership to help set the direction and vision for our parish. With the assistance of our Long Range Planning team, and our Parish and School Councils and Commissions, we recently adopted a new Mission Statement, Values and Priorities for our parish. In the next phase of the planning process we will identify specific goals and actions steps that align with our parish Priorities, and then we will begin implementing these action steps. The Pastoral Council will play a critical role in all of this.

The overall responsibility for our parish lies with all of us, not just the pastoral leader, priests and deacon. We ask you to please join us in this journey by discerning whether you feel  called to serve on Pastoral Council.
