Every baptized Catholic has a vocation. Some are called to the married vocation, others to the single vocation, and some to the priestly or religious vocation. They appointed presbyters for them in each church and, with prayer and fasting, commended them to the Lord in whom they had put their faith.Acts 14:23
Nurturing Vocation
Here are some ways to nurture the seeds of vocation:
- Pray together as a parish community
- Participate in faith formation opportunities offered by the Parish
- Serve in ministry
- Be a leader
- Live the message of stewardship, recognizing that all we are and have come from God and are gifts to be used to build the kingdom of God
Supporting Vocations to Religious Life
Within the faith life of families and of the Parish, vocations to the religious life and to ordained ministry are nurtured and supported. While formal training takes place on the archdiocesan level or in religious communities, the Parish offers any help it can in the discernment of vocations to Religious Life, Diaconate and Priesthood.
