Ellie W. is a young Catholic Youth Organization (CYO) cross country team runner. She is a parishioner at Saint Patrick Catholic Church and a
student at Saint Patrick Catholic School. She is also the young person who was selected by her coaches as the runner who best exemplifies the qualities of a Catholic athlete. She is a steward of healthy living.

She received a sterling silver St. Sebastian medal, the Patron Saint of athletes, from the Health Ministry in recognition of her achievement and her commitment to a healthy lifestyle that includes regular exercise.

On September 27, 2016, Dr. FitzGerald had the opportunity to talk with the CYO cross country team during their practice at Vassault Park. Dr. Fitz, as he is know to the students, shared about the Health Ministry at Saint Patrick Catholic Church and some of the disabled athletes he has worked with through the PossAbilities program at Loma Linda University Medical Center in Southern California. He also interviewed a few of the CYO athletes.
